Masooma Mohammadi

I am Masooma Mohammadi, born on April 6, 1996, in Kabul Afghanistan. In 2014, I realized my childhood dream of painting; to capture my imagination on canvas. Despite all the problems that came our way in Afghanistan, I continued my art.

And now I continue, as a refugee. Painting for me means bringing to life my mental fantasies on a white canvas. Even now, living in Chile, my art and painting for me is so important, and not much different from when I was in my home country. I do have bigger dreams though and hope that I can find other ways to improve my art and grow as an artist. It brings me joy to be creative and put my dreams and frustrations on canvas.
